Terms of Service
These Terms of Service take effect on the date you first create an account on Asia Newswire. Last updated 24 May 2026.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Asia Newswire ("the Service", "we", "us", "our"), you ("you", "user", "customer") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. The Service
Asia Newswire provides:
- AI-assisted press release drafting in English, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.
- A directory of journalist contacts you can reach by email.
- One-click distribution of press releases to a network of partner news sites.
- A reporting dashboard summarizing your distributions.
- Optional paid plans and pay-per-release packages for higher usage limits.
AI-generated content is a draft assist. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving every press release before sending or publishing.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to use Asia Newswire. By signing up, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate company information and contact details. We may suspend or terminate accounts using false identities or misrepresenting information.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Send spam, scams, or fraudulent press releases.
- Impersonate any individual or organization.
- Distribute content that is illegal, defamatory, infringing, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise objectionable.
- Distribute content promoting violence, terrorism, or illegal goods or services.
- Interfere with or attempt to compromise the Service's security or infrastructure.
Violation of this section is grounds for immediate account suspension or termination without refund.
5. Press releases are final once sent
Once a press release is sent to journalists or published to the partner network, it cannot be revised, cancelled, or recalled. Email is delivered the moment we hand it to recipient mail servers; publishing inserts your release on third-party sites we do not control. We have no technical means to retract email or remove published content after the fact.
You are solely responsible for reviewing and approving the content of your press release before sending or publishing. We recommend marking your release "Final" only when you are certain the content is correct.
6. No guarantee of journalist response or coverage
We connect you to a directory of journalists, deliver your press release email to them, and publish it across our partner news network. We do not guarantee that any journalist will respond to your email, reply to you, write about your release, or cover your story. Press release distribution is delivery, not publicity.
Journalists are independent professionals; their decisions about whether and how to cover any story are entirely their own.
7. Payment, plans, and refunds
Plan purchases and pay-per-release packages are processed via PayPal. Prices are listed in US Dollars.
Monthly plans are sold as one-time payments for the duration you select (1, 6, or 12 months) — they do not auto-renew. When your plan duration expires, you may renew or revert to the Free tier.
All payments are final. Once a press release is sent or published, no refunds will be issued.
If a force majeure event (natural disaster, war, internet outage, government action, pandemic restrictions, or other circumstance beyond your reasonable control) prevented you from using a service you paid for, you may email op@newswire.asia with a refund request. These requests are reviewed individually and granted at our discretion.
8. Account suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, including but not limited to fraud, spam, abuse, impersonation, or illegal content. Suspended accounts are not entitled to refunds.
You may stop using the Service at any time. Closing your account does not refund any unused portion of your plan or distribution credits, except per the force majeure clause above.
9. AI-generated content
Press release drafts are generated by an AI service based on inputs you provide. AI output may contain inaccuracies, hallucinated facts, or misleading phrasing. You are responsible for reviewing every AI-generated draft for accuracy and approving it before sending or publishing.
Asia Newswire is not liable for inaccuracies, defamation, or other harm resulting from AI-generated content you choose to send.
10. Intellectual property and license to distribute
You retain ownership of all press release content you create using the Service.
By submitting content to the Service, you represent and warrant that (a) you own the content you submit, or have a valid license, permission, or other right from the content's rights-holder to use it as described in these Terms, and (b) your content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property, privacy, publicity, trademark, or other rights.
You grant Asia Newswire a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, store, reproduce, modify (for AI drafting), and distribute your press release content as you direct it — including, without limitation, sublicensing the same rights to (i) the partner news sites you publish to, and (ii) the journalists you contact through the Service — so that those parties may receive, edit, publish, syndicate, archive, and otherwise use your release in the ordinary course of news reporting and distribution.
You acknowledge that once a release has been sent to a journalist or published to a partner site, those parties act independently and Asia Newswire does not control how they edit, retain, syndicate, or display your content.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We disclaim all warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Asia Newswire and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or business opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
Our total cumulative liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid Asia Newswire in the twelve months prior to the event giving rise to the claim.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Taipei, Taiwan.
